Adidas F50 adizero SL Review: Should You Buy Them?

Adidas F50 adizero SL Review: Should you buy them?

They are one of the most iconic boots in football history. The F50 adizero SL was released last year and became one of the best boots of 2012. This year, after the new redesign, you can purchase these models for over $100 cheaper than last year! But do you want to spend $100+ on an old boot when you can spend the same amount on a new takedown model?

I purchased my adizeros last September and I never look back on it. They are still the lightest boots I have ever owned and I still find joy in using them. They are very VERY thin. You get barely any dinthrtic between you and the ball which is something I am not the biggest fan of. The speed web delivers a very strong yet lightweight upper. The stud pattern still is one of my favourites. It is very versatile and gives a lot of grip. Changing directions is very easy and there is little to no slippage.

After owning the boots for a year they gave proved to stand to a lot of abuse. This includes hundreds of miles of running on artificial grass, firm ground, and soft ground. Somehow, earlier this year, I knocked off one if the studs. I have no idea how this happened, but it did. There is nothing I can really do to fix it but it hasnt given me any problems yet.

Should you buy them? Of course you should. One of the perks of the football boot industry is that older models and older colour ways drop value dramatically because companies push their newer and supposedly better models. The adizero is very similar to it's newer counterpart and definitely worth the price. The good thing is these boots last.

Top 10 Strikers in the World 2013/14

Top 10 Strikers in the World 2013/14

We are glad to present our take on the top 10 strikers in the world for this upcoming season. We have taken a lot into consideration and we have finally came to a decision after much brainstorming and arguing. Each player has been selected not only because of their performance so far in the season, but also their performance throughout last season. Only the players that have been delivering both last and this year have made it onto this top 10. Our decisions also reflect the player's work for both club and country. Please feel free to comment and to include your opinions on what we have to say.

Other bonus strikers this year are Olivier Giroud, Cristian Benteke, Sidney Sam, Giuseppe Rossi, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Loïc Remy, Romelu Lukaku, Roberto Soldado, Diego Costa, Carlos Tevez, Edin Dzeko, and a few more that appeared in our short list.

*Bonus Player* Sergio Agüero

Our big bonus player spot goes to Sergio Kun Aguero. Without a doubt, this young talented player has been around for a while and he has always been rated on of the best for a long time also being compared to a page full of legends. Struggled last season netting 20 goals, assisted 4 and battling injury but is back 100% hopefully and is hungry for goals. So far he has been a little in and out of the shadows but is showing great potential both international and club side.

10. Daniel Sturridge

Our number 10 spot goes to Daniel Sturridge. Phenomenal Striker! This lad has really worked his way up. We might be criticized for this now but later you'll understand. Last season Sturridge found the back of the net 16 times and had 4 assists. So far, he is one of the best strikers this season as he has started awesome, broken a record or two, setting career highs and is definately going to finish this season on top, most definitely.

9. Mario Balotelli

Our number 9 spot goes to Mario Balotelli. He's young and he has proved himself to be a threat to any opponent. He is one of the very egotistic players out there and he deserves to have one. Last season Mario netted 23 goals and 3 assits, with both Manchester City and AC Milan. So far, he has scored more than half his goals from last season and we are sure more are coming his way.

 8. Stefan Kießling

Our number 8 spot goes to underdog Stefan Kießling. Like I said, underdog but part of the reasons why a lot of people don't understand the game of football now a days. He is an awesome striker with clue, yes,he is not to be in this lineup but I think he deserves some credit. He has always been in the top half of highest goal scorers for a while now. Last season, he scored 27 goals and assisted 8. So far, he has started the season with bullets of goals but just for club side, has not been selected for international side for a while now.

7. Robin van Persie

Our number 7 spot goes to Robin Van Persie. One of the best strikers ever, a great role he has played in the world of football, young footballers like myself look up to him. He is still today a feared forward to any defence. Last season Persie found the back of the net 39 times and assisted 12. So far, as usual van Persie is having a great time scoring but in and out of shadows also.

6. Luis Suarez

Our number 6 spot goes to the show man himself Luis Suarez. Luis Suarez who came to the big lights of our eyes after the 2010 World Cup has become a deadly striker in all ways. Very entertaining forward to watch. Last season Suarez scored 40 goals and 6assists. So far, internationally he has been beast and scoring great. Just came off 8 or 10 match ban for club side Liverpool bit still has shown great potential already.

5. Radamel Falcao

Our number 5 spot goes to Radamel Falcao. One of the best strikers of our time and possibly all time, as simple as that. Also known as "the tiger" or "El Tigre" knowing how he poses as a threat to opposing teams. Recently making big money transfer from Atletico Madrid to As Monaco. Last season "El Tigre" scored a fantastic 41 goals and assisted 2 overall. So far, he has started the season awesome but had a slump in form which he is recovering.

4. Robert Lewandowski

Our number 4 spot goes to Robert Lewandowski. This star has had an awesome couple of seasons with Dortmund. I would say his best so far was last season as he found the back of the net 42 times and assisting 12, although loosing the league title to arch rivals Bayern Munich, he lead his team to the Champions League Final including probably one his best games of the season thrashing Real Madrid in the semi - finals. So far, he has started this season well and sure he will end it great.

3. Edinson Cavani

Our number 3 spot goes to Edison Cavani. I personally think statistically he is better than opposing man Radamel Falcao. World Cup wonder man as I call him, he is a classic forward and a great threat most especially now that he is paired up with Ibrahimovic. Last season, he scored 43 goals and assisted 6 overall. So far, he has shown as a threat both international and club side and there is more to come from him.

2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Our number 2 spot goes to the great Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The nose man as I call him. He is simply one of the best strikers and players of all time. His ego and style makes how awesome he is right now. Last season Zlatan scored 47 goals and 18 assists. So far, he has started the season well and hope to see more.

1. Lionel Messi

Our number 1 spot goes to the one and only Lionel Messi. He's only 26 and has changed the world of football, broken so many records, won so many titles but still criticized by some people. A lot to say about this lad but it is quite obvious what I'll say. Last season, he had a wonder season once again where he netted 75 goals and assisted 18 overall. So far, he has started this season like always, competitive, but has had a slump which was his injury in which he is just recovering from but this lad is a genius and expect a great season from him.

adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 Review: Should You Buy Them?

Nitrocharge 1.0 Review

After about 4 months of having these boots, I can confirm they are one of the best I have ever worn.

I have been wearing the F50 line since the F50.8 and they are all I have really worn. Each shoe got lighter and lighter until I got to the F50 Adizero SL, where I thought,"Does it really have to be this light." I was getting stepped on a lot which you don't really notice as a footballer unless you have thin boots. I had no protection with those boots but I still loved them.

When I saw these Nitrocharges come out I wasn't very sure of them. At first, I thought they were just old predators that someone put green tape on. Then I looked more into them and they looked like a good boot. I finally got them but I wasn't so sure.

Coming from F50's this isn't much of a step. They are both relatively lightweight and have the same stud configuration. The Nitros benefit from added padding and comfort. As soon as I laced these up I feel in love. They require absolutely no break in time and they are so soft and comfortable.

The technology is something else in this boot. The Energysling really tightens your foot and results in no slippage during takeoff and during direction change. The Energypulse gives extra ridgidity in the toe part of the shoe but doesn't make a noticeable difference in my opinion. I also love the achilles tendon pads that just give you the benefit of knowing you have padding.

Should You Buy Them?

I understand that not everyone can purchase $200 football boots and that many people view it as a waste of money. Taking this into consideration I am still forced to tell you that if you can purchase these boots, then by all means do it. They are comfortable, lightweight, strong, sturdy, and very durable. The pictures below are after about 3 months of tough wearing and I still have not cleaned them, some could think they are brand new. These boots look like ones I will be keeping for a couple of years, or until they break which looks very unlikely.
